Breath awareness
Buddha · Buddhism
About 20 minutes
Sit comfortably. Close your eyes or let your gaze rest softly.
Bring your attention to your breathing. Do not control it—simply observe.
Notice the breath coming in. Notice the breath going out.
Where do you feel it most clearly? At the nostrils? In the chest? The belly?
Focus on that one place. Let your attention rest there like a guard at a gate, watching all who pass.
When the mind wanders—and it will—gently return to the breath. No judgment. Just return.
The breath is always happening now. It is your anchor to this moment.
Each breath is unique, never to be repeated. Each breath is an arrival into the present.
Stay with it.
