Witnessing

Be aware of being aware.

You say "I am." Before "I am this" or "I am that"—just "I am."

Stay with the sense of "I am." Do not add anything to it.

Thoughts appear—witness them. Feelings appear—witness them. The body breathes—witness it.

You are the witness, not the witnessed.

Ask yourself: Can the witness be witnessed? What sees the witness?

Stay in that placeless place. The witness has no form, no name, no history.

It simply is.

That which you are looking for is that which is looking.
